Douce Amie received an extensive restoration at Old Lyme Marina during the winter of 1999/2000. The boat was originally built in 1947 at the Brigham Shipyard in Greenport Long Island. Most of Douce Amie's life was spent sailing the shores of Connecticut and New York, only recently did the boat find it's way to Maine.
Today, Douce Amie is based out of Peaks Island, ME - sailing Casco Bay. The current owner is a talented woodworker who acquired the boat as partial payment in the sale of his live-aboard cruiser. After extensive sailing with his wife, Douce Amie's owner decided to settle in Maine and moved ashore, sold the live-aboard and found himself with two boats: the Rhodes daysailer and a cruising motorsailer. The time has come to sell Douce Amie and the owner is open to reasonable offers. The boat is offered with a road ready Triad trailer.
Douce Amie is available for viewing in Peaks Island, ME. A 2000 survey and summary of the restoration are available upon request.
