Swan 55 Ellinor, construction no 11, is a classic Swan 55 designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built by the Nautor shipyard in Finland. This combination guarantees very good sailing characteristics and a beautiful ship of leading quality. These classic Swans are called the Rolls Royce of the ships. Two sister ships have sailed the “Whitbread round the World” without significant adaptation. Of the 16 built 55s, 14 still are in service. The current owner brought Ellinor to the Netherlands from the USA in 2005 where she has undergone total restoration, carried out in accordance with the rules of the Shipbuilding Inspection. The ship has been completely restored in its old glory. During restoration, much effort has been made to maintain or restore the interior and exterior in the orinal state. At the same time, the technology has been fully modernized. The ship looks fantastic and is very well maintained up to today. For example, the boat has been out of the water almost every winter for thorough inspection, including the mast. The boat is of course excellent and easy to sail, but also suitable for taking paying passengers. An opportunity to obtain a unique ship, completely up to date and ready to go.
