32 Dreadnought Tahiti Ketch for sale in Oregon. This is a solid ocean cruising sailboat designed on the lines of John Hanna's "Tahiti" with a 2 foot longer water line than the Tahiti and a taller rig. The Tahiti ketch was the most circumnavigating boat in the world in her day. Well maintained and upgraded, Orion is equipped for offshore sailing. If you are looking for a blue water cruiser, Orion is the boat for you. Orion has sailed from the West Coast to Hawaii and cruised the West Coast. Most of her life she has been moored in fresh water on the Columbia River. The owner/builder has had the boat since her original construction, then the current owner is the second owner for the last few years doing more updates, but plans have changed so they are selling. She is ready to head out on her next adventure!

Fiberglass balsa-cored hull built in 1974. Epoxy bottom coat, Linear polyurethane paint on hull and masts. Opening Bronze portlights, 2 Dorade vents. New standing and running rigging - Staylock end fittings and Harken blocks. Ketch rigged with new (2004) Douglas Fir masts. Sails: Mainsail, Mizzen, 140% Genoa, Jib, Storm Trysail, Spitfire Jib and Twin whisker poles. Newer stainless rigging, Stalok terminals and Profurl roller furling. Epoxy bottom and linear polyurethane paint.
