This Newman 32 is Hull #2 and was originally finished by Bruce Lanning of Winter Harbor and was designed and built for a summer resident there. She has a rebuilt 2015 Chrysler 360 that runs quietly. This boat is a classic Downeast hull designed by Ralph Stanley of Southwest Harbor that is well outfitted for cruising with her cabin amenities as well as picnicking and seeing the sights. Very nice interior woodwork and layout. Her wheelhouse features windows for excellent 360-degree visibility, light, and air. She has been well run and maintained and after her spring painting will be in step-aboard condition for the 2018 season!
Retriever is Hull No. 2 and is a solid hand-laid fiberglass hull built by the Jarvis Newman Yard of Southwest Harbor in 1974. She was finished by Bruce Lanning of Winter Harbor, who completed several Newman hulls. Her cabin and deck assembly is fiberglass over marine plywood, painted with nonskid on deck areas. Interior woodwork is primarily varnished mahogany helm bulkhead and cabin trim.

Water: 29 gallons in two tanks, 23-gal. bladder under port berth and 6-gal. tank in head
Holding: 18 gallons in poly tank
Two deep-cycle marine batteries, electrical panel, Master Switch 1-2-Both. Inverter. Navigation and cabin lights. Spot light.
Aft of rope locker is large vee berth. Next to port is galley with 2-burner propane stove, SS sink with pressure hot & cold water. Formica counter, shelves and lockers below and outboard. To starboard is enclosed head with SS sink and pressure hot & cold water, marine toilet w/Y valve and holding tank. Cabin is finished with varnished pine ceiling and mahogany trim, with white bulkheads. Force 10 heater and opening hatch in cabintop. A very comfortable and attractive cabin with 6'4" headroom
Up into 8'9" long x 7'2" wide wheelhouse, helm to starboard with SS destroyer wheel. 360-degree view with sliding side upper & lower windows and opening aft windows with centerline sliding doors to cockpit. Entire interior is varnished mahogany. Large engine hatch in center with smaller hatches. Headroom in wheelhouse is 6'8".
Cockpit is 10' wide x 6' long, side decks are 12". Propane locker under port deck. Forward is SS bow rail and teak anchor pulpit.
