The Prospect 28 (later known as the Prospect 900) offers an unusual but highly practical layout with a modern interior feel and plenty of stowage. As a Van der Stadt design, they are considered to offer good comfortable cruising performance and her owner has found her to be safe and easy to handle.

The open plan accommodation offers five berths with approximately 6'2" standing headroom. Separate heads compartment forward with Jabsco marine toilet and washbasin. Forward sleeping area offering two single settee berths with lockers above and stowage beneath. Saloon with large U-shaped dinette to starboard which converts to a double berth with more stowage beneath and aft. Linear galley to port equipped with a Plastimo 2-burner gimballed gas cooker with grill and oven, stainless steel sink, icebox and storage. Quarter berth aft to port with sliding chart table over. Manually pumped cold water supply. Blue chenille upholstery with matching curtains. Cutlery and crockery included.
Located beneath cockpit sole, Volvo Penta MD7A 2-cylinder 13hp diesel engine. Seawater cooled. Single lever engine controls with electric start. Saildrive to fixed 2-bladed propeller.
The engine was last serviced in August/September 2016 including new belts and injectors calibrated. It has been well maintained by her current owner with works including a new exhaust manifold, fuel tank cleaned out and rewired charging circuit.
2 x 12v Batteries charged via engine alternator. Upgraded charging circuit with split charge diode. Shorepower system with ring mains.

Prospect 28 built by Rydgeway Marine, Essex in approximately 1976 to a design by EG Van de Stadt. White GRP hull with blue styling stripe, white coachroof and moulded non-slip decks. Aft self draining cockpit. Cast iron fin keel. Tiller steering with extension to transom hung rudder. Self draining anchor locker.
Since 2008 her current owner has replaced and upgraded many items including new standing and running rigging, electrical system, lights, toilet, lazyjacks and more. During this time she has also been lightly used, having only been afloat for three seasons.
