Now stored on land for Winter. Swan 47 is the evergreen S&S design masterly build by Nautor. It is said that her lines, proportions and sailing qualities will never go out of fashion. It is also said that these designs are the benchmark of all previous and forthcoming Swans with cruising and racing as two dedicated purposes.
Her beautiful lines and sheer of the bow and the stern are pleasant to look at and make her a very able yacht for the sea. Like all S&S designs she sails like a witch upwind and a bit of blow never scares her. It is what she likes most. She sails better than ever and handles perfectly in all conditions.
Today, (Summer 2017) Farouche shows in beautiful condition and her all systems are excellent throughout. She has a new teak deck, new engine, new bow thruster, new electric winches, new Reckmann electric furler, new broad band radar, new single line reefing boom, new running rigging, new electronics, new custom-made bowsprit, new stem head, new anchor roller, new anchor, new sails and new stainless steel dorades and so much more. Furthermore, improvements was done to the fairleads, the anchor lift and to the internal reinforcement of these fittings from the inside of the bow. See exterior views in the gallery for details.
