Designed by Fred Parker for the original owner as a replacement for his first boat. He wanted a very comfortable yacht with lots of space her for length, capable of long distance cruising if necessary but also with enough performance for round the cans racing. Cold moulded Iroko hull, very robust construction. Massive internal space with 7 berths in 3 cabins plus the saloon. A very capable and impressive yacht in nice condition

Designed by Fred Parker and built between 1980 and 1982.
The original owners had a smaller Parker yacht beforehand and when they decided that something bigger was required, asked him to design the boat for them. The owners put together a team of highly qualified shipwrights from local east coast yards to help build the yacht and she was launched in 1982.
After an interesting early history where the keel and rudder design were changed and strengthened, she was bought by the present owners in 2002 in which time she has been raced, locally cruised and has also been on an extended round Britain voyage. She has been well cared for an updated as necessary with lots of work to the deck in 2013, new electronics and equipment and a complete re-paint of topsides and underwater in 2016.
I big powerful and comfortable yacht, well suited for offshore sailing and cruising with 8 good sea berths, 2 heads and huge amounts of storage space.

Hull is built from cold moulded 25mm Iroko.
Laminated Iroko frames fastened with copper rivets. Very large section frames in way of the mast.
Yacht laid teak deck over a marine plywood sub deck.

Fin keel with an external lead ballast keel and stainless keel bolts.
Wooden floors across the centreline.
Pair of self draining cockpits, one for the helmsman and one for the crew.
Bermudan cutter rig on a keel stepped alloy spar with an alloy slab reefing boom and hydraulic vang.
Stainless steel rigging by Spencer rigging. Stainless internal chain plates.
17 winches in total including a mast winch. All Lewmar, 10 of which are self tailing.
Full sail wardrobe including downwind and storm sails.
Perkins 4108 50hp 4cyl diesel.
Centreline shaft to a 3 blade Darglon feathering propeller, gives 6.5kts cruising speed @ 3l/hr, 8kts max.
Engine driven hydraulics for windlass and deck wash pump.
80 gallons of fuel in 2 stainless tanks under the cabin sole.
7 x 12 volt batteries powering 12v, 24v and 240v systems. Charged from twin engine alternators or from shore power. Wind generator for 24v system.
Hot water calorifier heated with the engine or an immersion coil.
7 berths with full standing headroom throughout.
Very spacious interior, well laid out with good sea berths, 3 separate cabins and finished to a high standard.
Steps down from the aft helm cockpit into the aft cabin.
Aft cabin has a decent size quarter berth either side with a heads compartment to starboard and a door on the port side going forward to the main saloon. Large chart desk on the centreline.
The heads has a Lavac sea toilet, hand basin and shower with pressurised hot and cold water.
Steps down from centre cockpit into the main saloon. Galley to port and skippers cabin to starboard with a single berth, hand basin and storage.
Galley has a Force 10 gas stove with oven and grill, twin stainless sinks, refrigerator and plenty of storage.
Main saloon has a U-shaped seating area to starboard around a table with a settee opposite and a single pilot berth either side under the side decks.
Forward into the owners cabin with a double berth to starboard and heads to port.
Heads has a Lavac sea toilet with black water tank and hand basin.
Forward again into the workshop area with a work bench to port and storage/workshop space to starboard.
