Accommodations
“Royal Coachman III” has a bright and inviting interior with oiled teak bulkheads, white overhead, and a teak parquet cabin sole. Her interior appointments provide comfort and luxury both at sea or dockside. Sixteen opening ports and four deck hatches ensure good light and ventilation throughout.
The forward cabin has a double berth w/filler cushion, shelves port and starboard, hanging locker, bank of drawers, and port and starboard opening ports, screened deck hatch, and port & starboard reading lights. There is privacy door to the salon and a double entry to the head.
The forward head is to starboard with a manual head, pressure water, molded sink and counter top, sliding mirror storage, handheld shower with independent shower sump pump, cabinet, dome lights, and deck opening port w/screen.
The exceptionally roomy salon features a solid teak centerline table with contoured double drop leaves for an elegant appearance and gracious dining. Each settee is upholstered in fine furniture quality fabrics. Both settees become full double extension berths. Wide shelves behind each settee provide open storage while adding to the feeling of spaciousness.
The U-shaped galley is aft and to port where everything is at your fingertips. The deep double stainless steel sinks have pressure hot and cold water, a fresh water foot pump and 6 gallon hot water heater. The insulated, top loading ice box has been converted to Adler Barbour 12 DC/110 AC refrigeration with freezer. Ample cabinetry combined with laminated counter tops w/fiddles and compartments makes food preparation in harbor or underway simple and efficient. The Hillerange three burner propane stove with oven is gimbaled and augmented with a microwave. Two opening ports with screens above the stove and wide companion way provide good ventilation while cooking.
The full sized, forward facing navigation station is to starboard with plenty of open and closed storage. A foul weather gear hanging locker is conveniently located for trips to and from the cockpit.
The starboard walk-thru passageway aft has full headroom and a built-in workbench, lockers, and large access doors to the engine room.
The aft cabin has a comfortable queen size berth with innerspring mattress. The outboard sides of the berth have long shelves with fiddle rails. There is additional storage space in port and starboard hanging lockers. The private head and shower are to port. Four ports around the cabin plus two deck prisms and hatch overhead with reading lights make it all feel light and airy.
