The Mainship 40 Double Cabin, also known as the Mainship Nantucket 40, is spacious, attractive, and economical to operate (10 gal. total at 10 knots cruising speed). She's comfortably laid out below with a forward guest cabin and head and an owner's stateroom aft with ensuite head.
Lady Elaine is not your average Mainship 40. Purchased 17 years ago by her current owners, she has been lovingly maintained and upgraded. The original carpeted plywood cabin sole in the main salon was replaced with a varnished teak and holly sole and was beautifully crafted. The original double berth in the aft stateroom was skillfully converted into a queen-sized berth. Back in 1999, at the time of the current owner's purchase, the engines had about 1,000 hours. The owners have added an average of fewer than 50 hours a year. Lady Elaine is turnkey and spotless below. She would be suitable as a weekend cruiser or would make a comfortable liveaboard. Treat yourself by coming to inspect this very special boat. She is shrinkwrapped for the winter with a door for access. Cover will come off the first week in May. Price just reduced. Cost of summer dockage in Hamburg Cove has been paid for this season and will be included.
