For more than thirty years, the First range has built a reputation of solid performer, collecting accolades and awards in its wake.
Whether you live for that sensation of sail powered speed or just love a good leisurely cruise in the Bahamas with the 4'9" shoal draft wing keel, the First series is the perfect example of this philosophy in practice.
Beneteau’s pioneering use of strong, lightweight, high-tech materials, no-compromise build quality, comfort and ease of handling – along with that Beneteau sense of style have long set the standard for others to follow. That’s the difference between finishing first and just finishing.
The ‘S5’ description means that STARK RAVING also benefits from the superb interior design input of Philippe Starck. “With Philippe Starck, it was the first time in the world of yachting that a boatyard called on a designer outside sailing circles. The resulting creation was the First S. In 1987, the First 35S5 was an audacious boat. It was closely followed by the First32S5. These were revolutionary creations which brought sailing tradition and the most modern design concepts together.”
A down to the gelcoat hull job in 2013 and full sanded bottom job in 2015 reflect the care and attention to upkeep that the boat has enjoyed. Performance is enhanced with a no-cost-spared feathering Max-prop propeller and a suite of high end UK Carbon/Kevlar Tape sails in addition to the delivery sails.
