ABRAXAS – ADDITIONAL INVENTORY:
The ad has most of the major items on the yacht listed. There are lots of hidden extras: spare parts, tools, medical kit, flares, back up paper charts of the region, cruising guides, a Loose gauge for the rigging, winch handles, Snatch blocks for tweakers, 2 bosun chairs, 10 proper diesel containers for an 200 litres of extra fuel , man overboard gear (including Danbuoy, life ring, floating strobe), Volvo shaft seal, Racor fuel filter/water separator etc.. This is all stuff you will need for cruising and racing and takes a long time to assemble.
Rig: Masthead rig. The standing rigging was replaced 2011. Running rigging, sheets and spin gear are all Spectra. Removable check stays. Navtec hydraulic backstay adjuster. Profurl C35headsail furler.
Sails: Brand new Doyle Carbon Kevlar racing sails including 140%genoa, mainsail and 0.5 oz. spinnaker. Older racing sails as well. Cruising Dacron sails (UK Sails) including a no. 3 jib including a storm jib and tri-sail. 1.75 oz Tasker cruising gennaker
Ground tackle - plough anchor on a swivel, chain and warp. Three fenders and morning lines. Fire extinguisher and fire blanket in galley.
Covers: Full boat cover, Bimini, boom and wheel covers (all Sunbrella).
Navigation lights are at the top of the mast (try-sector). There is a stern light on the pushpin and a mid-mast light for steaming and illumination of the foredeck. There are fans and lee cloths for the berths in the main saloon. There is an LPG oven and two burner cooker top.
The big stuff we had removed are the hot water system (not needed in the tropics) and the electrical cool box (original X-Yacht system not cold enough for the tropics so we use cool boxes with dry and wet ice for week long trips - much more efficient). Anything that wasn’t useful we had removed to reduce weight for racing. There is literally a tonne of gear that we can remove for racing and she’s very light and competitive. When racing we take off the bimini (shade for the helmsman), the roller furler for the headsail, galley equipment, spare parts etc. so she sits way above her lines.
The only job I haven’t completed is to replace some of the cushion covers in the main saloon but there is the spare fabric to do this.
