Moonbeam is an Eastbay 40 built in Singapore in 1996 by American Marine, now more commonly known as Grand Banks. Very few of this particular model were built and they are much sought after among enthusiasts. She has classic lines with a modern deep V hull and excellent sea keeping abilities designed to cut through waves with ease when many planing hulls would need to slow down.
Powered by twin 350 horsepower Caterpillar engines with a 22 knot cruising speed and a 27 knot top speed this is a fast boat yet she can also run very comfortably and economically at 10 knots on longer passages.
The large cockpit with all new teak is great for fishing or setting up dive gear and the large bathing platform has a roller and folding dinghy chocks although the dinghy is not included. There are fibreglass outriggers for fishing and generous side decks leading to the foredeck, all of which were recently repainted with non slip. A ladder leads to the flybridge where there is seating for up to 5 guests. The large saloon and well equipped galley are bright and airy and steps lead down to a two double cabin arrangement with shared head and separate shower stall.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a classic motor boat with great sea keeping abilities which has been kept in first class condition by a dedicated owner. This boat will provide years of comfortable cruising to her next lucky owner.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The Eastbay 43 Flybridge Sedan is the latest in the company's line of fast cruisers. Designed by C. Raymond Hunt and Associates, they're built by Grand Banks. Built with the same attention to detail and workmanship as the Grand Banks diesel cruisers, the Eastbay series has become the standard for fast, 'downeast' cruisers. This line includes the high performance, traditionally styled Eastbay 38 Express and the handsome Eastbay 40 Sedan and Flybridge models. Based on the popular EB 40, the Eastbay 43 adds three feet to the length of the cockpit, providing a comfortable, spacious area outside for crew and guests. Its increased waterline and added fuel capacity means higher performance and greater range. Cruising between 20 and 24 knots, a safe range of more than 425 nautical miles can be expected.
