The heavily built and beautifully crafted Gozzard 37 was designed for offshore cruising but is equally pleasing for coastal or Bay sailing. Details like the satin varnished interior joinery, cedar lined hanging lockers, beautiful midnight blue hull and decorative bronze dolphins set this yacht apart from the average production boat. The 37 is the updated replacement for the wonderful Gozzard 36, and has an updated keel and rudder design, as well as more usable displacement; she's a superbly balanced blue water cruiser yet is happy as can be in light airs too.
And Gozzard is still producing the design so if you have any questions the yard itself is still there as a resource, there are very few boats you can say THAT about any more!
Always a west coast boat (Vancouver then San Francisco), this particular low time cutter-rigged example (Hull No. 5) has never been cruised and shows almost as new inside and out. She's the Plan A (C-shaped galley and dedicated nav table) version with Navy Blue hull and cherry interior (and a lovely solid teak & basswood sole), 631 hours showing on Westerbeke diesel, bow thruster (let the traditionalists scoff, once you've tried one you'll be a believer!), full electronics, Harken Battcar and Dutchman systems, new canvas in 2015, Vacuflush head (see "bow thruster") etc etc etc.
Note this is one of only two Gozzard's currently on the market in the U.S., and the only one lying on the west coast (in a potentially transferable downtown Sausalito Yacht Harbor slip; there's a long wait to get in the marina here so this is a material benefit if you're able to take advantage)...
