This Bavaria 44 of 2002 is a UK registered former RYA sea school yacht that that has been fully maintained in accordance with the UK MCA regulations and now represents an opportunity to acquire a a capable and very popular cruiser at a highly competitive price.
She has been owned by the school since new in 2002 and during this time has had all new rigging, new engine and saildrive, through valves and and many items as required by the very strict UK rules for comercial boats. Some minor cosmetic work will probably be required by her new owner, and she is therefore priced accordingly for a quick sale.
Built by Bavaria Yachts 2002
Tax not paid
Minimum draft- 1.70M
The boat requires a little 'TLC' to bring her back to her former glory, for example some of the gel coat needs minor repairs for chips on the top sides. These are mainly cosmetic problems that are easy DIY fixes.
The hull is sound and osmosis free.
Teak decks re-caulked 2017
The complex heavy maintenance is all done and she is in a 'ready to sail condition'. She has just had the Iron keel grit blasted and epoxied, she’s been anti fouled, and the engine and gearbox were replaced 6 years ago.
Almost all the other on board pumps and bilge pumps have been replaced as usual for a commercial yacht. She is mechanically sound and the rig was replaced 6 years ago too as per MCA coding requirements for school boats. All through hull fittings were replaced 2 years ago again because of the commercial requirements.
The two aft cabins were re-upholstered in 2015.
