Aktuell pris:
A$  2 495 000 (NOK  15 039 362)

Grand Banks Australia are proud to present 'Liberty IV' to the market as central agents. She is presented in outstanding condition and exemplifies GB build quality that is simply unmatched in the marketplace.

She was custom ordered with an extensive specification and delivered new to Australia for a knowledgeable repeat Grand Banks owner, with little regard for cost. The focus was on building a safe, capable and comfortable long range yacht - and testament to her capabilities 'Liberty IV' has completed voyages to PNG in the north and Tasmania in the south. Her envisaged cruising plans influenced her skylounge configuration - indeed she is the only 72 Aleutian ever built with a skylounge - which has proven itself to be a wonderful space from which to watch the world pass by in absolute comfort regardless of the varied weather conditions she has experienced. Just think how good it would be to never again have to worry about keeping flybridge clears clean!!

The Grand Banks Aleutian series were conceived to fulfil the requirements of serious boat owners - those experienced owners who understand the importance of walk around decks for ease of access around the entire boat (especially in adverse weather offshore, or for very young and or not so young crewmates), a raised pilothouse design complete with portugese bridge to shed the occasional green water you will encounter, and a hull design that permits outrunning weather or crossing a coastal bar at speed when required. Add to that she is a Grand Banks - the build quality and global reputation being second to none. This is indeed a rare purchase opportunity.

'Liberty IV' is powered by a pair of ever reliable Caterpillar C-18 engines @ 1000hp each which provide sprint speed capability when required. Power requirements away from the dock are taken care of by a pair of 22.5Kva Onan Generators. Her Naiad hydraulic bow thruster, complete with not one but two wired docking remotes (one being housed up forward in the portuguese bridge, and the other stowed in a custom storage cabinet on the aft bulkhead of the skylounge), assist with docking. She carries almost 10,000 litres of fuel with multiple fuel transfer systems (with redundancy for the redundant fuel transfer pump - make no mistake this owner thought of pretty much everything!). 'Liberty IV' is equipped with Naiad fin stabilizers for both underway and importantly "at-rest" stabilization.

From the stern of the vessel you enter the expansive fishing cockpit after stepping off the teak laid swim platform. One thing you really notice on the Aleutian models is the near 20ft beam making for a sensational feeling of space! Note the fishing cockpit, cockpit, side decks and foredeck are all teak laid (proper decent teak too - not the thin variety that lasts just a few years in our climate). Installed on the forward bulkhead of the fishing cockpit you will find a cabinet to port complete with a sink unit, ice maker and cutting board. On the centreline you have a watertight access door into the machinery space/engine room (which then connects forward into the accommodation area FYI). To starboard on the forward bulkhead of the fishing cockpit you will find a cabinet housing dual Miele electric grills with storage under. Note in addition to the centreline access door into the machinery space from the fishing cockpit, a separate water tight entry door into a crew/utility room, and then aft to the engine room/machinery space, or forward into the accommodation area, is accessible from the port side deck.

Moving forward from the fishing cockpit access up to the main cockpit level is a dual access arrangement. The cockpit area is afforded protection from the elements by way of the skylounge hardtop overhang, and features a huge hydraulic height adjustable high gloss teak table with corresponding aft bench seating. A ship's bell installed on the aft saloon bulkhead is a reminder you are onboard a serious boat....

Double doors from the cockpit then flow into the saloon which is a spacious affair. The saloon features a generally aft facing built in curved settee in the forward port corner, and two comfortable bucket chairs to starboard. A pop-up TV and Bose stereo take care of your entertainment needs (she is setup for Foxtel Sat TV). A fridge is located in the aft port corner of the saloon to ensure you are never separated from a cold beverage for long - and why should you be?

A few steps up from the saloon you enter the spacious U shaped galley complete with abundant under counter refrigeration, Meile appliances including a dishwasher, and a trash compactor. Another bank of under counter refrigeration is found opposite the galley to starboard. Forward of the galley you will enjoy the spacious dinette with expansive views out of the lower windscreen which was made possible as a function of the sky lounge configuration negating the need for an all-weather lower helm station. This table is also push button electrically height adjustable. Note for excellent natural ventilation and ease of access there are helm doors to access the side decks to both port and starboard in this area of the boat.

As we head upstairs the sky lounge itself is complete with more refrigeration and day head - intended to be a self-contained accommodation area as required. Operating the boat from this haven is an extremely quiet affair with commanding views. The helm is equipped with a comprehensive spread of electronics including multiple Raymarine screens (including a stand-alone screen for the navigator with his/her own Nav station off to the portside of the main helm), FLIR night vision camera, flowscan fuel flow instrumentation, VHF & HF radio communications, and two Satellite phones (one hard wired and one handheld). The Stidd dual helm seat is fitted with an autopilot control in the armrest to change course without needing to move from your seat! Those not on watch can enjoy the view from a L-shaped settee with yet another electrically height adjustable table in the aft starboard corner of the sky lounge.

Accommodation on the lower level, as accessed via a staircase to starboard beside the galley level settee, consists of a forward v-berth cabin, twin cabin with two single bunks to port, and the spacious full beam mid-master. Each cabin has its own toilet and separate shower stall - the forward cabin bathroom being a two way arrangement with access from the companionway therefore this bathroom also doubles as the day head. A separate Meile Washer and Meile dryer are located in the accommodation area to take care of your on board laundry requirements. Aft of the master cabin, as accessed via a door in the master head (or from the previously mentioned port side deck access door, or from the previously mentioned access door off the fishing cockpit) you will find a ulitity room that can be used as either a workshop or crew accommodation (it is currently configured as the former). A wet head services this area in the event it was used as crew accommodation. So in total the boat has five toilets and showers.

As 'Liberty IV' was conceived to roam the ocean she is complete with an extensive spare parts inventory including mechanical and electrical items. Consistent with this approach she is equipped with dual Watermakers. Same applies for the duplicated heavy duty anchoring equipment.

Selected capping rails are varnished and her bright work has recently been refreshed and is looking good. 'Liberty IV' is indeed a great looking boat and attracts plenty of attention wherever she roams.

Circumstances dictate 'Liberty IV' is seriously for sale. She is a delightful vessel upon which to spend any time on-board and inspection is highly recommended. We look forward to your inquiry.

Note 'Liberty IV' will be displayed at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat May 24th - 27th, if not sold prior.
