2008 Hunter Deck Salon Standard Features:
The ICW-friendly rig, roller-furling main & genoa, and shoal draft keel are perfect for coastal & island cruising. As its designer (Glenn Henderson) noted, “It’s not about ultimate speed… but how easy it is to get there.”
The cockpit is clean and refined with a walk-through transom, fold-down cockpit table, comfortable seating for eight, and twin helms which provide outstanding comfort and visibility.
All lines are lead AFT to the cockpit. The traveler is located on a stainless arch over the cockpit to enable end-boom sheeting for the Main, provide secure attachment for the Bimini, and minimize Cockpit clutter.
The Deck Salon cabin is airy and bright with a large “L” galley with Corian countertops to port and a comfortable & efficient forward-facing NAV to starboard. The U-shaped dinette (to port) with seating for six easily converts to a double berth. The starboard setee can also serve as a single berth. Interior woodwork is beautifully finished in cherry with maple accents. Headroom is over six feet throughout and 6' 7" in the Salon.
The Forward cabin is well thought-out with a double berth to port, vanity & locker to starboard, and a head with shower forward. This layout alleviates the typical (and confined) “V-Berth” arrangement.
The Master cabin features an island centerline queen berth with new Froli box spring and Schrader custom marine Mattress for ultimate comfort (new in 2017).
The “Mariner Package” includes Watermaker, Bowthruster, and 75HP Yanmar engine (upgrade from standard 54 HP engine).
This particular Hunter 45 DS is remarkably clean and in excellent condition. It has been thoughtfully maintained and improved by the current owners. Words such as “immaculate” and “turn-key” are often over-used, but in this case they are both appropriate. A recent survey is available to serious buyers.
The Salon HVAC unit was replaced with a new Dometic (16,000 BTU) Turbo Air Conditioning R/A (with Smart Touch Control) in 2017.
The AGM House/Engine batteries were replaced in 2018.
The Genoa and Main were cleaned and inspected (including new Sunbrella sacrificials) by Mack Sails in 2018.
Please see the “Full Specifications” for details.
