Classic Beauty, Dry clean ready for an adventure, New Garmin GPSmap 2017, New headsail 2017, Newer windlass, Westerbeke 42hp runs great!

Gatsby?s Girl was commissioned in 1961 for the owners of Valentine Sail Makers of City Island New York. The Girl, as she is affectionately called, was built by American Boatbuilding in East Greenwich RI. Designed by Bill Tripp, the Block Island 40 is a classic in every sense, with one of the most perfect sheer lines ever put to paper. Her graceful counter and raked transom turn heads in every harbor. Originally designated as a Vitesse Class yawl and first commissioned in 1957, the BI 40 has been in and out of production up until the 1990?s. This almost half century of production is a testament to the timelessness of her design. The BI 40?s speed and ability were recognized by sailors early on and BI 40?s won 6 of 11 places in the 1960 Newport to Bermuda Race. Gatsby's Girl now Aranjuez needs a little paint and love but WOW what a fantastic sailboat!

Time and tide wait for no one!
