Windfall is a 1973 Halsey Herreshoff-designed, updated fiberglass sloop, ready for the 2018 season to cruise and day sail! As his first sailboat, her current owner has poured himself into reconditioning every system in her and customizing her throughout. With her Yamaha 4-stroke outboard, she motors well, and under sail she is a comfortable seaworthy sloop. If you are looking to step aboard a pocket cruiser or daysailor, Windfall may be the sloop for you!
Bristol Yacht Company built this 1973 Caravel in Bristol, Rhode Island. Her hull is solid hand-laid fiberglass with a cored fiberglass deck assembly, including cockpit seats & sole. Her finishwork included an interior fiberglass headliner that covered the rough interior side of the hull & deck. The cabinetry was fiberglassed to the hull, which significantly adds to the hull strength. Cabinetry is 3/4" mahogany plywood. Her bottom was barrier coated in 2014.
