This beautiful DeFever 53 is exceptional in many ways that matter for extended cruising, and is absolutely RARE for its highly practical and complimentary aft cockpit extension by DeFever!
Current owners/sellers have set this yacht up rather perfectly for enjoying weeks of peaceful anchoring and diving/snorkeling at their favorite reefs in Belize -- silent, no need of its generators with the overly abundant solar power! They just returned to the Rio in March, and this yacht is maintained ready to go again and again, anytime.
Carefully consider the pictures and Full Specifications -- if your cruising dreams are reawakening and your smile is widening then call or email immediately -- sellers have chosen a price far lower than the sister-boats to promote an easy, happy, and quick sale -- to you!
Your ideal DeFever motor yacht is conveniently located in one of the finest cruising areas possible: the pristine Western Caribbean! While tucked up the beautiful Rio Dulce in Guatemala for hurricane-safe storage, same day cruising from the Rio can have you snorkeling or diving the world’s 2nd largest barrier reef – Belize it! Or, it’s just an overnighter away to experience the Bay Islands of Honduras (Utila, Roatan, Guanaja). Farther voyages can have you enjoying Mexico, Jamaica, Caymans, and Panama before returning to the Rio sanctuary year after year, as countless cruisers do. Great Yacht, Great Location… it’s time to have fun!!

The previous owner commissioned DeFever to add a seven-foot aft cockpit!
The result is rather Perfect -- fishing/diving/dinghy access, etc., it is a wonder that all sister-boats don't have this feature!!
Think awhile about how to improve a DeFever 53 POC, and you'll most certainly want this feature too.
This DeFever has Gyro-Gale Stabilization. Four fins provide comfortable, smooth, quiet and reliable air cushioned stabilization.
The safety factor of using low pressure air (100 psi) versus high pressure (1200 psi) and flammable hydraulic fluid is undeniable. Best of all, due to the low pressure, it is very rare that you would break a tube, but if you ever do, it's not oil. It's just plain, clean, dry air.
