WHAT AN OPPORTUNITY! A TRULY RARE FIND!
It is very rare that a yacht comes along which is both aesthetically stunning, whilst being a true sailors yacht capable of extended Bluewater cruising. This hand-crafted timber vessel is truly exquisite, with sailing abilities to match! Designed by John Alden, she was meticulously built over 11 years with exceptional attention to detail. Since her launch, the vessel has completed some remarkable voyages including a 60 day non stop singled handed circumnavigation of Australia, and a double handed circumnavigation of the world. She has been regularly displayed at wooden boat festivals and been awarded the 'Supreme Prize' on multiple occasions. Despite having thousands of miles under her keel, she presents immaculately unblemished due to the love and care of her fastidious owners.
This vessel is carvel-built Huon planks over celery top pine frames with a Bluegum backbone. The superstructure, deck, and interior are made of hand picked Burmese Golden Teak sourced by the original owner/builder in Burma. The interior of the vessel glows with the pristine varnish work, cobalt leather seating, and gold plated fittings. Accommodation is forward with two generous single berths, a pilot berth to starboard, with two additional berths available in the saloon. The functional L shaped galley features Royal Dalton China, extensive fridge and freezer space and ample storage.
The separate forepeak contains a maintenance workshop complete with vice, bench, sink and excellent access to the anchor chain, windlass, and additional nylon warp. The vessel is powered by a 120HP Perkins which is housed aft along side the 6.5kVa Generator in their own fully accessible compartment.
From the outset of the build, this vessel was created to be easily sailed short handed, and features electric in mast furling for the mainsail and manual in mast furling for the mizzen. All deck equipment is the highest quality, with Barlow winches through out, and situated for ease of use in any conditions.
With both her beauty and proven capabilities, this vessel would suit anyone looking for a quality vessel capable of true Bluewater cruising which will turn heads where ever she goes. Please contact John Radonic on 0459 322862 or Jo Breen on 0432031100 for more information.
