CLASSIC, HUGE INTERIOR, WELL MAINTAINED! This is a beautiful, spacious grand ole girl that is picture perfect for cruising or entertaining guests. She is in very good shape and only needs some minor cosmetic work here and there. She has new zincs and her bottom was redone in April 2017. For those who appreciate a classic Ed Monk Sr. design, you know finding one of his larger boats on the market is a rare treat.

The interior has an amazing amount of space for this size yacht, including generous head space. Because of this, she is an extremely versatile yacht. There are three ways to access the interior of Indefatigable. A sliding door on her starboard side brings you directly into her main cabin area. From the cockpit, there is a door directly accessing the aft master stateroom. You can also take the small ladder to the pilothouse. From there, a few steps forward also take you to the main cabin. The perched pilothouse brightly illuminated by 360 degrees of huge windows and a beautiful view. The helm is situated centerline with a petite old-fashioned wooden ships wheel, but the seating is a large, plush cushioned bench seat that can fit two or three adults comfortably. But why squish three people there when there is plenty of other comfortable bench seating in the pilothouse. Plenty of storage and drink holders and a small lift up table add many luxury touches to this area. Sliding side windows and two sliding aft doors bring in a little of the great outdoors on nice days. The main cabin is quite roomy with a lot of floor space, which comes in quite handy if you have a large dog. The comfortable port side convertible dinette seats five people and easily turns into a double berth at night. Across the room on starboard is a home-sized cushioned sofa, comfortable and large enough to take an afternoon nap upon. Drawer storage is underneath the seating area. The cabin oil stove heater is next to the sofa and provides plenty of warmth in the coldest winter months. The interior also has forced air diesel furnace with electric registers for heat. The port side galley is extremely functional with an apartment-sized Vitrifrigo refrigerator with separate freezer, a Princess stove/oven combo and a microwave. There is a large stainless steel sink surrounded by a nice amount of counter space and a great amount of drawer and cabinet space, more than many small homes. Window blinds throughout the main cabin give you privacy when you need it. Down a few steps into the bow is the v-berth, one of two staterooms on Indefatigable. The v-berth forms two single berths and has its own head complete with separate shower, electric toilet and vanity sink. A hanging closet, drawers underneath each berth, and a privacy door really make this a great bedroom for guests or children. From the main cabin to the stern a few steps and a short hallway take you to the master stateroom. Windows on three sides let in plenty of light, but have coverings for privacy. The pinnacle of the master stateroom is its queen size bed. To port is a desk/vanity table with large mirror and numerous storage drawers. A hanging locker and other storage lines the starboard wall. The ensuite head has a large home-like porcelain sink, electric potty, separate shower, medicine cabinet, and plenty of counter space and storage. A nearly 20-gallon hot water tank, 40-gallon holding tank, and 222 gallons of pressure water serve all your on-board water needs. The warm woodwork soaking the interior of Indefatigable and the parquet wood flooring are all beautifully maintained and richly nautical.
A sizable aft deck gives you enough room for a multitude of uses. Four or more people can easily fish from here without major collisions with each other. Several rocket launchers are available to store away unused poles and two downriggers open your fishing options. When you land a big one, celebrate by ringing the victory bell mounted to the cabin ceiling overhand. There is also plenty of room to fish from the bow. Access the bow by way of her railed-in side decks. High railing will keep you securely on the boat. Or you can set up a patio dinette set and have your friends and family over for a summer evening dinner cruise at the peak of whale watching season. A deck wash down system cleans up whatever the day s activity has left behind.
Two reliable 300 horsepower 1986 J&T 8.2 Detroit diesel engines with only 3,208 and 3,210 hours on them provide the power on Indefatigable. Easily access her roomy engine room through a cabin floor hatch. It has been kept very clean and well maintained. She cruises 8-14 knots and has a top speed of 14 knots, uses 6-15 gallons per hour, and carries a hefty 350 gallons of fuel in two steel tanks. Her four-blade propellers maintain a quieter cruise. She has stainless steel rudders and Twin Disc MG502 reduction gear. The ground tackle includes a Bruce 30kg anchor tethered to a Maxwell electric winch by 500 feet of chain and line.
Navigation electronics include a Furuno NavNet 3D GPS, plotter, radar and depth sounder. You also have the convenience of an AutoHelm ST 7000 auto pilot. Electric wipers at each of the three windshields keep your vision clear in wet weather. For communications, there is an Icom M 502 VHF. For fun, there is a stereo system. When at the dock, plug Indefatigable into 30 amp shore power. When you are underway, your power needs will be met by her Westerbake 8kw diesel generator set with heat exchanger cooling. She also has a Xantrax battery charger and an alternator and inverter.
