The 49’ DeFever, a timeless classic long on styling.  A timeless beauty with a bold inner soul.  This seasoned performer boasts all seaworthy features from NIAID stabilizers, water maker, washer/dryer, and AIS.

Emery El has made her journeys in comfortable reliable performance.  At home has much in blue water cruising as she is at home port undercover and in freshwater.

Emery El is the raised pilot house floor plan B which makes her an immensely popular DeFever for the discriminating boater. Solid performance from her Ford Lehman normally aspirated diesels.  There’s sizable solar power/inverter and an at home feel from the flowing design that is as well thought out as it is in practicality.

There are distinguishing marks thru out from aft deck livability to stylish Portuguese bridge.

 Engines

  • Two Ford Lehman 135s – under 5000 hours.
  • Four 6-volt golf cart batteries per engine. (12-volt system)

 Fuel System:

  • Two Racor 500 fuel filters, one used as backup mode.
  • Input Manifold, allowing selection from any of the four fuel tanks
  • Return Manifold allowing selection to any of the four fuel tanks for returning fuel.
  • Distribution Manifold allowing selection of fuel delivery to each engine, generator and to a vacuum gage.
  • Inline fuel pump to allow pumping from one tank to another.

 Generator:

  • Westerbeke 12.5, Recent replacement, approx. 800 hours, independent 12-volt battery.

 Inverter/Charger:

  • Wired for a 12-volt system for charging.
