“KI TOV” was only ONE OF THREE VALIANT 37’s BUILT AT THE TEXAS VALIANT FACTORY!!!! She is an offshore yacht, but essentially cruised in New England as a seasonal cruising boat and hauled and stored on the hard, every winter. New Awlgrip in 2013 and the engine was rebuilt in 2014
After nearly 30 years, the original owner, has decided to put this beautiful yacht on the brokerage market for another family to love and to go cruising in.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO ONE, WHO KNOWS THIS BOAT BETTER AND WHO CAN EXPLICITLY TELL YOU THE FULL DETAILS OF VALIANT YACHTS, than the listing broker.
“KI TOV” is the perfect example of a classic Perry offshore cutter design. Yacht designer, Robert Perry selected the Valiant 37 as his own personal yacht and successfully cruised and raced his Valiant 37 on Puget Sound for a number of years. Of the many hundreds of yachts Mr. Perry designed, it is noteworthy, that of the all of the yachts available, Mr. Perry selected the Valiant 37’ for his own.
Her classic lines incorporate a tumble home stern, bulwarks, dorades, opening ports, oversize rigging and quality construction.
The Valiant 37 is the culmination of the vast knowledge that can only be gained by experience and the Valiant 37 embodies all that has made the Valiant the “ultimate” in sailing yachts, with the concept of a performance cruiser, to a true over-the-horizon passage maker.
Featuring the classic, seakindly Robert Perry designed tumblehome double ended hull form, bulwarks, dorades, opening ports, oversize rod rigging and superb quality construction, the Valiant 37’ is built to world class standards. Performance, safety and comfort have become synonymous with Valiant and in no small way, are responsible for its success. Valiant owners are unanimous in their conviction that their Valiants are exceptional blue water passage makers.
This beautiful boat sleeps up to six people in accommodations with the V-Berth, main salon and quarter berth areas. Like all Valiants, the main salon settees and the quarter berth make excellent offshore sleeping quarters. The interior of the Valiant 37 is dry and comfortable.
With over 6’5” of headroom, “KI TOV” is styled with the heritage of the finest features found in the most sought after yachting accommodations; bright, well ventilated with 2 dorades, 2 opening hatches and 10 opening ports and finished in furniture quality Teak.
The overhead incorporates drop-down panels with teak battens for ease of installation and inspection of below deck fittings. She features accommodations for two couples in the Pullman V-berth and port double pull out settee, plus quarter berth and starboard settee for additional guests. There is a large comfortable private stateroom forward with a Port side Pullman berth with Port & Starboard outboard V-berth shelves, hanging locker, 2 drawers, 2 drop door lockers and a 2 dressing seats with storage under and seat. There is a large storage area under the V-berth and hanging locker to starboard. The forward cabin is ventilated by a large opening hatch with screen and 1 opening port. Next aft to port is a good sized head compartment with separate stall shower with hanging locker and lowboy counter, opposite.
The main salon features a drop leaf, dining table, which folds up against the bulkhead, a large comfortable settee to starboard and an “L” shaped settee to port which makes up into a double berth. Both the port and starboard settee provide excellent and comfortable berths at sea. Above and outboard of the settees you will find abundant storage over and behind.
Aft of the main salon and to port, is the classic “U” shaped offshore design galley that will delight the gourmet, whether at sea or dockside. There is generous counter space, deep double stainless steel sinks, 3 burner, Force 10 gimbaled stainless steel propane stove with oven & broiler, cold pressure water, fresh water foot pump, oversized ice box, storage racks, built in storage rack for pots & dishes, large cupboard, trash locker under sink, and drawers under companionway. Under the companionway, you will note storage bins, next to sink is a large dry locker with storage shelves under sink. Miscellaneous pots, pans and utensils to convey.
Opposite the Galley and to starboard, is a proper forward facing navigation station and large chart table which provides tremendous room for electronic navigation & communication equipment. Again, storage is extensive in this area, with a large locker under chart table and full length wet locker next to the companionway steps. Just aft of the navigation area, is a large quarter berth.
Additional stowage is found under the berth. The sole is teak & poplar holly over pressure treated ply, companionway steps have non-skid for safety, with a long companionway grate at bottom of steps, to catch water from foul weather gear etc.
