Monk designed pocket battlewagon / turn-key East Coast Canyon boat with a proven design and nice amenities. This particular 260 hp. Cummins B-Series Diesel power provides economy and reliability with reduced maintenance by using a fresh water aft cooler. The "Innovator International 31" is a tournament proven craft dedicated to the art of sport fishing. A 31-footer can't be all things to all people, so why not just target one function and do it right? That, apparently, was the way Jim Jenks (Owner of Innovator) and Edwin Monk (Designer) approached this project. A tremendous amount of research and development have gone into the making of these boats.
It was Jim Jenks of Ocean Pacific Frame, who owned the original boats built. His Yacht / Mother Ship was called the Ocean Pacific, and the fishing vessel was the Innovator. These original boats built were 30' long and made of aluminum, as opposed to the production boat's that were built of fiberglass.
She is a Monk designed Hull, with very wide side Decks, high freeboard and good fuel economy for a twin screw small Flybridge vessel. The unique for its time, reverse-sloped transom was designed to allow the boat to back down at speed when chasing fish. With its many amenities, seakeeping ability, good range, under water side exhaust and economical fuel burn all make this boat a turn-key East Coast Canyon Boat that is a pleasure to operate yet still affordable to run!
