This 1994 Monk 36 trawler is available for immediate sale; currently cruising in Florida and will be in New England waters by the end of May 2018.
Tomfoolery is a well-maintained example of this classic trawler. The Monk 36 trawler yacht is a proven design in a timeless tradition. Seaworthy, economical, spacious and comfortable are just a few of the attributes associated with the Monk 36.
An aft cabin layout, guest cabin forward, two heads, fly-bridge, walk around decks affords for a stable, safe and comfortable platform for long range cruising. The Monk 36’s high freeboard, molded spray rails and flared bow provide for a dry ride especially when running into a head sea. The propeller is safely nestled in an aperture positioned well above her deep keel to minimize the chance of grounding.
The main salon is modeled for comfort and efficiency and is finely finished in furniture quality teak, with a teak and holly cabin sole. A sliding side door allows for easy and safe access to the weather decks, and the large fixed and opening port lights allow for plentiful natural light and a spacious airy feel. An L shaped galley is fully equipped with refrigerator / freezer, double stainless sinks, copious drawers and lockers, along with a four burner stove with oven.
Hundreds of Monk 36’s have been constructed, each with their own story to tell and history of adventure. Tomfoolery has been extensively cruised and has continuously received numerous upgrades and essential maintenance by her experienced owner.
