Commentary by GRP expert 8-23-19 in response to “Twisted” marine survey – page 25 Section IV – under section b pls see B-1 and B-2
“Overall the cabin house in the areas of the windows did not read high on meter nor was any delamination identified by sounding the areas. The caulking around the windows appears to be deteriorated. I would recommend having Systems-Install team look at the windows and price rebedding, this is all that appears to be needed to correct water intrusion. Please remember there may be hidden damage that is not apparent from our inspection.”
August 2018: Work by Crowley's Yacht Yard Service Department included the following:
Engine tune up
pump out fuel tanks, new fuel added (60 gallons)
replace fuel filters
flush out fuel hoses and lines
engine oil and change filters
transmission service (change oil and filters)
replace impeller assembly on starboard engine
install 2 8-D AGM batteries and 2 Group 31 AGM batteries
After the above work was performed, there was a 2 hour sea trial. The vessel was tested at wide speed ranges in open water of lake Michigan; all systems tested out fine.
