"Zola" is one of the finest examples of the popular Camano Trolls on the market today. For those not familiar with the Camano 31, it is best described as a stout, Westcoast workboat-style trawler that is extremely well put together, simple and functional.
The unique "Keelform" hull will sip 1.25 gph at a 7.8 knot hull speed, or reach a comfortable speed of 14 knots burning just 5.8 gph. Top speed at half load if required in 18 kn.
Not only does the substantial keel provide full protection for the four bladed prop, it gives the boat the seaworthiness simply not found in conventional semi displacement hulls.
No need for trim tabs as the low center of gravity and nearly horizontal drive shaft take the boat up to partial planning speeds with very minimal bow rise.
Docking is a breeze with the large rudder, standard bow thruster and like no other Camano that we know of, a stern thruster as well with wireless remote control - no more panic leaps to the dock!
The Camanos are known for very high quality glass work, (Solid hand laid glass below the waterline and cored with Corecell above), and electro polished stainless steel fittings and no exterior bright work.
She is designed to sleep two with occasional guests on the convertible settee that converts to a double bed.
If you’re looking for a comfortable boat, well designed, very seaworthy, economical to drive with more upgrades and improvements than found on many Camanos, you simply need to see Zola.
