Designed by Robert Perry and built by Tayana, Rapport is a perfect blend of expertise in cruising sailboat design and construction. The Tayana 48’s fin keel and skeg-hung rudder provide good sailing performance and she is easily sailed by a short-handed crew with her Leisure Furl boom with electric main halyard winch and primary winches. A full cockpit enclosure protects the crew from sun, wind and adverse weather. Below decks, Rapport’s beautiful teak joinery creates a comfortable atmosphere. The three stateroom/two head layout is a fantastic arrangement for a large crew, while still providing excellent accommodations including two separate shower stalls. Storage space is well configured and ventilation is excellent – fifteen stainless steel opening ports, five deck hatches, dorade vents and Hella fans.
Rapport is extremely well-equipped and ready to continue cruising now. All upgrades by the current owner were undertaken with offshore sailing, sail handling & security at anchor in mind. The quality of materials and installation are top shelf. Rapport shows like a much newer boat. One would be hard pressed to find a nicer Tayana 48 anywhere!
