Engine power is provided by two Yanmar 3GM30F diesels powering SD-20 saildrives with 2-bladed folding props. The engines are housed in isolated engine rooms under the aft steps. Access and serviceability are outstanding, and the noise, smell, and heat are kept out of the living spaces. Engine hours are approximately 3,200.
Sails & Rigging
The standard rig is a typical deck-stepped section with triple spreaders and full diamonds, held up by the headstay and cap shrouds. Aldora is fitted with a new Sparcraft mast & boom. Running backstays are rigged and can provide added mast stability and some degree of headstay sag adjustment for better upwind performance. Aldora is also fitted with an optional sprit for exceptional performance under gennaker on a furler. --- 65 ft air draft , ICW compliantAll the standing and running rigging is new. The mainsheet traveler needs cars and end caps. The cross beam was not damaged but has been re-welded in the past. Life lines have bee replaced. Stanchions have been repaired or replaced as needed. Toe rails have been repaired. Chain plates have been replaced. New boom and mast step as well. Running back stays are also new with all new blocks. Antennas and lights are new, connected and tested. ProFurl C-430 was installed on the forestay as well as all the batten cars on the mast.
