Katty Rumpus is a nicely maintained 2003 lagoon 380. She was originally a 4 stateroom model but the starboard forward cabin has been turned into a handy, well-devised pantry/ storage area.
The Lagoon 380 the most popular catamaran built with over three hundred produced to date. They are very comfortable for living aboard and easy for a couple to sail.
She was purchased in the Virgin Islands and cruised the Caribbean then worked her way up slowly to Ft Lauderdale.
Aggressively priced to sell quickly as the owners are looking for a trawler to purchase.
Katty Rumpus has had other upgrades including:
A hard top bimini that replaced the canvas original that allows for better sun protection as well as the ability to stand on while handing the mainsail.
The entire boat has just been buffed and looks terrific
The boat was haul in April 2019 and the bottom painted and the sail drives inspected and serviced.
Upper starboard rig replaced upon purchase in 2017.
Batteries replaced in 2019
New engine panels and fuel gauges 2019
Washdown pump in chain locker
The boat is located in Ft Lauderdale and very easy to show!
Katty Rumpus has the four cabin interior layout with starboard forward cabin converted to a panty/ storage area. It is well thought out and very handy for a cruising couple. The cabin could be converted back to original if desired. The is a hatch above and storage beneath Queen berth. Moving aft is the head with a marine toilet, vanity, mirror, shower and storage areas.
Farther aft is is the starboard cabin with a Queen berth with storage beneath, shelves, lockers, and closet. There is a fan and LED lighting as well as a hatch above.
The port hull is a near image of the starboard hull except there are 2 cabins with Queen berths.
The galley is part of the main salon and nicely located so the cook not only has a great view while preparing meals but is also part of the conversation with guests on board.
There is a double sink with hot and cold pressure water, a 2 burner Force 10 (2014) propane stove with oven, cabinets, and drawers for storage.
There is also a Frigoboat keel cooled refrigerator/freezer across from the working area.
Danzer 5 cf top loading freezer under chart table
The main salon is very generous in its seating for 6 around a teak table. The windows add good lighting and 2 open for ventilation forward and one large slider in the galley section.
There is excellent storage under the seats. All the lighting is LED.
On the port side of the main salon is the navigation area with the electric panel and electronics. The is an opening chart table for paper charts or storage.
