Salon - Upon descending the companionway stairs you enter the spacious and bright salon. It consists of a large U-shaped seating/dining area with a lower table to Starboard and two swivel chairs with nav table to Port. Ships electrical panel, communications & GPS plotter is accessible from the aft swivel chair. The swivel chairs and nav table make a great space. There is comfortably room for six sitting in the salon.
Galley - Immediately Starboard upon entry there is a nicely equipped L-shaped galley. The counters are Corian with a raised fiddle and handhold. There is good storage for dishware and supplies.
Master Stateroom - Stepping into the master stateroom there is good headroom with a spacious V-Berth, two hanging lockers, one with shelving, and an ensuite head.

The Hanse 400e was a very well constructed boat, below are a couple quality build features to demonstrate why this boat stands out in its class.
Hull Construction - The hull built with prepreg fiberglass fabrics in epoxy, vacuum bagged with Corecell foam then postcured. The epoxy method allows the vessel to be completely moisture resistant, strong, and over a 1000lbs ligher in the hull. This is a a high quality feature that is rare to find in production boats.
Keel - This vessel has the L-Shaped keel with a steel shank and lead bulb. This helps the keel concentrate its weight down low providing a better righting moment with less overall weight.
Keel Attachment - The keel is attached with 6 very large Stainless Steel keel bolts 40mm , fitted to large backing plates. It is rare to see such a strong attachment in a 40' production boat.
The deck stepped mast is supported by a large stainless steel compression post.
The Jefa, direct link steering system has no chain or cable which results in a very precise feel at the helm. The cockpit has a hatch cover that lifts to provide easy access for inspection and serviceability of steering connection and autopilot drive unit.
