The cockpit on the Catalina 350 MkII is very roomy, with comfortable seating for nine, including two stern-rail seats and a helm seat. ZEPYRUS comes equipped with cockpit cushions and a full Bimini and dodger connector, which effectively turns the cockpit into another sleeping area. The cockpit is easily accessible through an opening in the transom, which provides access to the swim platform, as well as stern boarding. There is a transom shower with hot and cold pressurized water. The Edson folding wheel makes for easy movement around the pedestal. There are several cavernous cockpit lockers for storage and a large folding cockpit table for outside dining.
Entering the cabin, one will notice the gently-sloped companionway steps which are curved for good stability while heeling. The main salon is light and airy with opening port lights, multiple overhead hatches and both direct and indirect electric lighting. All overhead hatches have screens and shades, The wide beam (13') and great headroom (6'6") make for a remarkably spacious interior. The galley to starboard has a front and top loading refrigerator/freezer, a Hillerange propane stove/oven, double stainless-steel sink, hot and cold pressurized water, and ample counter and storage space. The navigation station to port contains a large chart table and the well-organized switch panels. Moving forward, the dinette to port has two options for tables, one small and one large, and also converts to a full-length berth. To starboard is another full-length berth that can convert to two seats with a table in between,
For sleeping accommodations, the aft cabin contains a large double bed and hanging closet space as well as opening ports for ventilation. The forward cabin has a large island V-berth and plenty of storage in closets and drawers. The berths in both cabins have thick inner-spring mattresses rather than the typical foam pads found on most boats. The forward cabin also has a private entrance into the head.
The head features a Raritan electric toilet with a built-in macerator. The holding tank is easily accessible in a closet behind and over the toilet and utilizes a gravity overboard discharge that is simple and convenient to operate if dockside pump out is not available. There is a separate stall shower in the head and ample storage below the sink and in a large medicine cabinet.

Having owned a 2006 Catalina 350 for eight years, and cruised all over New England on it with my friends and family, I feel I can offer an informed opinion about this boat. The accommodations are well thought out and extremely spacious and comfortable. We went on many multiple-night cruises with as many as four adults and three young kids and always felt like we had plenty of room. The cockpit is huge, and with the dodger and Bimini connected, effectively makes for another three-season living area. Another great characteristic of a Catalina 350 like ZEPHYRUS is her general seaworthiness and solid construction. You will get where you are going safely and comfortably in a Catalina 350 and enjoy luxurious accommodations once you get there! All sail handling is performed from inside the cockpit and is a simple operation using the in-mast furling system. In effect, you have infinite reef points in the mainsail which are easy to put in or shake out, a fantastic safety feature. The elongated wing keel not only provides a shoal draft for gunk holing, but also dampens the up and down motion while underway and makes for a smooth "Cadillac-like" ride through waves. The Universal M35B engine, aside from being famously reliable and efficient, has plenty of power and torque. With a fuel tank that holds 39 gallons, you can motor for days if you need to. The 350 I owned was a pleasure to maneuver under power, so ZEPHYRUS, with the added advantage of a factory-installed bow thruster, must be even easier to dock and move around in tight quarters. She is also equipped with a special (and expensive) Autoprop propeller, which feathers while sailing, reducing drag and increasing speed. Another much appreciated feature on this boat is the complete lack of exterior wood (except for the hatch boards.) I would like to thank Catalina Yachts for designing the 350 like that. I can't even calculate the time and expense that saved me!
I could go on and on about the great features of ZEPHYRUS, but I encourage you to call or email for an appointment and take a look for yourself.
