The AKULA is a specially modified Offshore Support Vessel designed and equipped to provide a stable and safe platform to conduct our great white shark diving operations as well as many other types of offshore work. This 42' aluminum catamaran is powered by reliable twin 330 hp Volvo Diesel engines. AKULA also has a 2 ton knuckle boom crane and a built in high-pressure air system.

Volvo Penta dual counter rotating propeller outdrives and Volvo power lift and trim.
Consumption is 32gph at 24 knots full speed at 3,400 rpm's. 30 gph at 23 knots. 24gph at 18 knot cruise. Vessel's fuel capacity of 400g will allow vessel to operate for approx. 30-hours at cruising speed of 23kn. Under ideal conditions subject vessel could travel approx. 690-miles at cruising speed. A slower running speed will increase range.
Quarters: 8 persons. One dining settee in Pilot house; One pilot bunk in pilothouse; three 2-person convertible table bunks; One private port side hull bunk room;
