
This magnificent 28 meter Phinisi was built in Sulawesi, Indonesia. Construction took 1 year with a team of 20 local and foreign craftsmen and the boat was launched in December 2019. The owner is an ex-super yacht engineer holding a captain’s license - he designed and personally oversaw the entire build and did all the electrical, plumbing and engine room work.
The hull and superstructure is made from Sulawesi “Iron Wood”, the deck and all other non-load bearing wood is Red or White Teak from Sulawesi. The hull has huge 9m long x 30cm wide Iron Wood stabilizers that keep the boat steady in any condition. All decks are fiber-glassed over to prevent leaking.
She cruises along at 8 knots on her twin Mitsubishi 250 HP engines (700 hours) with stainless steel shafts and bronze 4-bladed props, with twin Mitsubishi 25 KVA generators (1500 hours) running the aircon and electrical systems.
Up to 20 guests are accommodated in 7 ensuited air conditioned cabins (4 x 2 and 3 x 4) and there are also crew quarters for 6 crew.
Vey roomy, with multiple decks containing a variety of entertainment spaces (eg. 10 meter area for yoga on the open top deck) and enough space for all the toys to be carried.
Fully equipped Galley, 2 big fridges, 2 big chest freezers and separate big walk in pantry for dry goods storage.
The vessel is built to carry tourists on diving trips and surfing charters. Performed beautifully when taken to Maluku for 2 months, then COVID hit and tourists stopped coming.
