Original Devon Boats are famous for combining stability, with classic lines, at an affordable price. Built from the original Drascombe moulds but with an upgraded specification to RCD category C and all mainsails are loose-footed for extra safety.  These shallow-drafted boats can be supplied with an easy launch trailer, so they are ideal for trailer sailing and exploring shallow waters where larger vessels cannot go.

Honnor Marine builds boats for Outdoor Adventure Centres, Scout Groups, the RYA Sailability Scheme and of course, families who love the outdoors and adventure. The iconic look of tan sails, wooden spars and bronze fittings, evokes a nostalgic feeling that is appreciated by all ages. You can sail, motor or row and if you decide to camp, there is a bespoke tent to fit all models. You will probably see more Honnor Marine Luggers in British waters than any other type of traditional sailing boat sporting classic tan sails.

There is a growing trend for sailors of larger boats to down-scale to an Original Devon Boat, thus saving on expensive mooring costs. These trailer sailers are easy to launch, recover and can even be sailed single-handed.

This is a small cruising yacht based upon the hull of the Longboat with a slightly reduced rig and the addition of a cabin.  The Coaster is a long weekender for four people, the cabin gives two full length berths, cooking and toilet facilities, plus plenty of usable storage space.  With a spray hood and boat tent, another two berths can be provided.

A 6-8 hp outboard motor is recommended to supplement the 15.22 sq mtrs (164 sq ft) of sail.

The centre plate is set in an integral trunk and is operated by a rotary winch from the cockpit.  

The outboard sits in a well and can be lifted clear of the water when not in use.

As with the Longboat, the Coaster can be trailed or left on a mooring as you wish.
