Cypsela’s lines are the logic evolution of the Light displacement concept that Giles introduced, under the influence of John Illingworth, with his Maid of Malham. On a boat of reduced proportions, Giles designed a very ample internal space, with three cabins and two heads, a big deck surface, thanks to the tipical reverse sheer. Her hull lines gives good speed and seaworthines abilities. Other innovative features are the separate rudder and the fin keel with a deep lest which gives to the vessel her rigidity and her easy of handling and manoeuvrability in reduced areas. Cypsela was restored twice by her present owner, who has also circumnavigated with his family. Her interesting palmarès in many races is a promise of good results in the vintage meetings, so popular nowadays. Her particular style, tipical of a well circunscript period in the life of her designer, gives her a historic role in the future among the classic fleet. Diseñado por Laurent Giles, este barco que en su juventud fue un campeón de regatas, ha dado recientemente la vuelta al mundo y está en muy buenas condiciones, impecables desde el punto de vista técnico.
