Newport 28 Sailboat for sale that was designed by CandC and built by Capital Yachts of Harbor City, California. Trucked up to the Columbia in 1976 and has never seen salt water. Professional maintenance yearly since. Solid, reliable and is ready for a new family to enjoy. This well balanced Newport 28 has a fairly small mainsail with lazy jacks and furling genoa jib. Spinnaker and whisker poles have been rarely used and are in good shape. She's easy to pilot and a great vessel to learn on / grow with. Traveler and autopilot make her a great single hander but need a bit of work to get "R2" up again.

Additional Information
Depth finder and knot meter display works, but really needs to be replaced due to sun fading. There is wiring for radar, but we never felt the need. Radio is in good shape. AC has updated ground fault protection and is good to code. DC works great, batteries were replaced a couple years ago.
Deck is in good shape, especially for a 1976 girl. Port side jackline stanchion needs some attention before winter. Mainsail cleat on starboard deck is broken. Have been running it to the rear cleat on a temporary basis. New head, barely if ever used. Prop shaft recently repacked. Wind vane recently replaced.Ansvarsfraskrivelse
