Nostradamus is a 1978 Newport 41-S cruising sloop built by Capitol Yachts Inc.
The Newport Fleet's has an impressive record of race wins, and its sizable list of enthusiastic owners make Capital Yachts a known favorite.
Nostradamus has sailed the BC coast her whole life and is very well known in the community. She is fast, sails efficiently and is a very comfortable costal cruiser/racer.
Nostradamus is a pleasant liveaboard boat that can sleep 6-7 people. She has a well laid out deck and cockpit with safe passage all around the boat. Turn-key and ready for cruising!
Heading into the cabin you have Navigation station to Starboard.
Providing a good size Chart table with storage under, Teak storage rack, and plenty of locations for electronics. Including VHF Radio, wind speed and direction, depth finder.
Located directly behind the Nav Station is a Quarter berth. Good size U shaped galley with sink with hot/cold water, 3 burner stove with oven and an Ice-Box with 12-volt refrigeration and plenty of storage space. The Galley provides easy access for entertaining.
Great head room below @ 6'3" you don't feel enclosed.
The Salon dinette located in front of the Galley provides a good place to conceal the engine location and comfortable seating for four, which also converts into a double berth. Four large fixed windows provide lighting with bookshelves and 12-volt lighting this is a comfortable area.
To Starboard are a single couch/berth and a quarter berths. The Head to port and a Hanging locker to starboard help provide a good bulkhead for the forward cabin. The forward stateroom has a nice size V-Berth with plenty of storage areas including drawers and hanging lockers.
This is a TWO owner boat. The First owner raced her, the second owner sailed her up and down the coast.
If you are looking for a Classic Racer/Cruiser you owe it to yourself to look at this Capital 41/S. You wouldn't be disappointed!
