The hull is heavily built of fibreglass that is hand-laid in alternating plies of 1 1/2oz mat and 24oz solid layed rovings [not sprayed] with no core to a minimum thickness of 2.5 cm [deck]. Below the water line the thickness increases to 4 cm. The keel and hull are one piece. The ballast is 4 ton lead keel encapsulated in glass.
