This vessel is inviting and makes you want to enjoy being aboard vessel. Two staterooms with private heads are ideal for a family or invited guests. The galley is designed for safety underway. She in good order and has always been in Freshwater here on Lake Michigan. Powered by the dependable Perkins 4-108 diesel, new Brooks & Gatehouse Electronics, and her exterior teak has been recently renewed. A rare and desirable offering in today's market. Many recent Upgrades, ready to sail away.
Flavorwave is a beautiful boat in good condition. She has always been kept in Lake Michigan and to my knowledge the only Freshwater Gulfstar 43 Mrk II, she is a 1979 model, hull #86, the last boat built. This is a spacious, light interior with two separate staterooms and two heads. Quality built in the United States. MarineAir reverse cycle heat and air.
The interior is spacious, with plenty of room for cruising with your family and friends. The woodwork of beautiful solid teak throughout the boat adds to the ambiance and is in very good condition. The grain of the wood is matched throughout the boat. She has a teak and holly cabin sole, refinished in 2019. There is built-in storage everywhere! And there is plenty of light and ventilation with lots of opening hatches and ports.
There is a stateroom forward with a spacious vee berth, a large hanging locker, and plenty of storage to make a longer cruise comfortable. There is a head forward with a shower. Next aft is the elegant salon with a settees to port and starboard. Both settees extend to form additional berths for guests. There is a huge beautiful centerline drop-leaf table for entertaining. You could easily seat eight for dinner. There are individual storage cabinets behind the port and starboard settees, with shelves for additional storage.
There are overhead hatches with built-in screens with teak frames. At the front port corner of the salon, is a built-in large hanging locker. Brass clock & Barometer
The sit-down, outward-facing nav station has a huge working surface for all of your charts and reference materials. She has a swing out navigator's stool that locks in position.
The instruments are mounted in easy-to-read positions in a pod over the companionway so that everything is visible from the helm. There is also a B&G Vulcan 7R at the steering pedestal. A complete set of B&G sailing instruments were installed in 2018, see below.
Across from the nav station is the galley. She has deep, double S.S. sinks on the centerline with a hot and cold pressure water system and a dockside water system. There is an S.S. Shipmate 2 burner stove, gimbaled with oven, propane safety shut off, great counter space, plenty of storage for all of your galley equipment with dish lockers and utensils drawers. She has a huge top loading ice box with new Adler Barbour Cold Machine refrigeration. The walk-through to the aft cabin is to starboard aft of the galley.
The walkway has 5'8'' headroom and very large hanging lockers on the port side, with great access to the engine room on the inside.
The master stateroom is an aft cabin designed with two large singles (or small doubles), one on each side of the cabin arranged in a large vee configuration. A filler cushion could be easily added to make a huge aft berth if desired. There is plenty of head room, plus great light and ventilation. There is also a private head inside the stateroom with a shower. Plenty of room for everything you need, designed for easy access.
