36 Aft Cabin Trawler
1979 Prairie Boat Works 36 Aft Cabin TrawlerWelcome aboard EPILOGUE, a popular Prairie 36 Aft Cabin Trawler kept in the water at a dock behind the sellers home. As you might expect, she is kept sparkling clean. If she could talk, EPILOGUE would tell you stories of couples cruising on the US east coast and Bahamas, and weekends with grandchildren on local waters. In fact, the sellers are still wondering how they will break the news of her sale to eight year old Avery. There comes a time to let a boat go on to the next couple or family for fun and adventures on the water together, and that time is now for the sellers.
The sellers have maintained EPILOGUE consistently, and documented most maintenance in the maintenance logs. She has reliable twin Perkins engines for those interested in doing the Great Loop or other longer range cruising. Her cruising sweet spot is 8 knots at 1700 rpm consuming about 3.3 gallons per hour using both engines. Inside, she has all of the comforts of home, including heat and air conditioning for perfect temperatures. A large refrigerator with freezer holds plenty of food for weeks out with friends and family, or longer trips without stopping to provision. The TV and stereo provide entertainment options in the evenings. A generator ensures electrical systems can be used underway or at anchor. On deck, the bimini over the flybridge and aft deck provides shelter from the sun while you enjoy gentle breezes on lazy days underway, at the dock, or at anchor. Hang the dingy on the davits and be prepared to anchor out.
EPILOGUE is a classic 1979 well made trawler whose interior is well decorated and maintained. If you see only through 2022 interior design eyes, she is not the boat for you. If you are looking for a great value trawler, give me a call.
Enjoy the photos and detailed descriptions. Call today to make a reservation to see EPILOGUE.
