1981 Kalik 4614m

This yacht has to be seen to be believed!! Yes, she is a 1981 Kalik 44/46 but this is only where the story starts. Acquired by her last owner she underwent a complete bow to stern refit in 2016 by Precision Shipwright Services in Phuket. Effectively PSS brought this yacht back to and beyond the quality she was when she was new. 

The refit included removing the deck, removing the deck core and replacing it, all bulkheads plus a full new interior designed fit out with two toilets and showers. A brand new Yanmar 4JHE 56hp engine was fitted with a new shaft and PSS seal, new AC generator, mast, boom, standing and running rigging were all replaced, a new mainsail will be supplied and the jib is new. S/S Anderson sheet winches were fitted and all tracks, blocks and jammers replaced. The Muir anchor winch is new with 10mm chain and Vulcan 25kg anchor and all deck hatches were replaced with superb Mainship S/S units. Steering is a new JEFA hydraulic system with a stunning Carbon Fiber steering wheel.
She has 3 beautifully appointed cabins and the galley would delight any cruising chef with new Corian bench tops, large Isotherm frig/freezer combination and gimbaled Force 10 three burner stove with grill and oven. The cockpit is fully protected by a composite Bimini and dodger and she is fitted with SCS Marine air conditioning. A full set of new Garmin electronics including, Plotter, Radar EMR 18 HD, Sounder, Autopilot GAC 20, VHF, AIS , GPS, all new circuit breaker panels, new LED lighting and the wiring was renewed throughout.
The Awlgrip paint finish is superb with the metallic hull paint a real standout feature combined with the striking good looks of this world renowned Gary Mull designed thoroughbred. New safety equipment including jackets, harnesses, EPIRB etc will be supplied.
Totally rebuilt this yacht is presented better and is more extensively equipped than most new production yachts.  

From winches to running and standing rigging. From onboard electronics to deck hardware. From Fridges to engines and genset this yacht was effectively made brand new again in 2016.

Her current owner has lived onboard periodically for the last few years and has really made this yacht feel like a home. With a 4.5KVA genset, 3 AC chillers pushing 26,000 BTU she is lovely and cool down below and has solar setup with wind generator and 4 leisure battery's for extensive off grid living. 

With a solid GRP hull built in the 1980's she is benefited for maximum performance by having an Asymmetrical Spinnaker flown off the stainless steel bowsprit and she also has a full spinnaker pole to fly her symmetrical spinnaker also. She was designed as an ocean racer and is capable of fast and comfortable offshore passage making. 

With a deep cockpit and relatively high freeboard she is a nice cosy dry boat to sail. A brand new 2.5 HP 4 stroke Yamaha on the back with chrome guardrail mounted BBQ. She has extensive sun covers around the GRP bimini. 

Any serious potential long distance blue water cruisers out there will fall in love with this yacht!

Everything was new from the secure rocna anchor along with 100 metres of chain all the way through to stainless steel pushpit on the stern.
