1982 Ocean Cruising oc4012m

RAGTIME is the last of the OC40s before Ocean Cruising Yachts, Inc. introduced the OC42. She has a traditional interior of African mahogany plywood with Honduran mahogany solids. The cabin sole is of solid teak and holly. The overhead is light weight laminate (Formica) over semi rigid foam. 

Entering the companionway, there is a "U" shaped galley to port with a double sink aft, a gimballed stainless steel three burner stove with oven outboard and a three door top loading refer and freezer forward.The counter forward has a swing up countertop extension to add working space for the cook. 

To starboard aft is the navigation station. It faces aft to add convenience to the nav-cockpit communications. Ahead of the nav station is a large two door locker for storage of foul weather gear and extra hanging capacity.

The main cabin has a centerline table with silverware drawer, liquor/wine storage and a recessed storage area that helps with offshore use of the table. 

Either side of the table are pilot and transom berths. The transom berths lock back, in a slight extension (4" out) position for more comfortable seating and fully out to make wide berths port and starboard. The transom berths have 4" foam cushions and the pilot berths have 6" foam custions.

At the forward end of the main cabin is a diesel heater for quiet heat in northern weather and a hanging locker to starboard. The main cabin hatch has a built in screen that hinges down to operate the hatch.

The head, to port of the passageway to the forward cabin is spacious and has a manual head and is being fit to a holding tank. There is a shower and single sink in the head as well with more than ample storage. The shower drains to a sump tank in the bilge which is pumped overboard and is operated by a switch in the head. There is a laundry hamper built into the sink counter for convenience. 

The forward cabin has a V-berth with insert to make a double. There is a bureau to port behind the berth and a large hanging locker to starboard. The hatch in the forward cabin has a built in screen that swings down for access to the hatch. There are drawers and cabinets below the berth for storage and shelves outboard on the hull sheathing for additional personal storage.
