Custom Australian fiberglass cutter‐rigged offshore cruiser from a great yard, designed for the Tasman Sea and anywhere else, you’d like to go. . .
Swanson 42’s are well known as sea kindly boats, very rugged and capable. This is the flush deck, double ended, "pilothouse" cutter model. Designed and built by the Swanson Bros. of Australia, and originally owned by J. Fleming of Fleming Marine wind vanes, she is exceptionally strong. Carried Away has the deck space design of a serious cruising yacht, with well planned internals. A surprisingly light interior is beautifully finished with Queensland Maple, a dense, strong, light colored, tropical wood, well suited for marine use. She is built and designed to withstand the rigors of world cruising, and has many updates. The current owner repowered with Kubota V-3600 68HP 4-cyclinder diesel, North Genoa and Staysail on Profurlers, Garmin Radar, Blue Seas breaker panel, 1200- watt inverter and all new wiring from engine and batteries, and much more. Please ask for the full list of updates and repairs since 2013! Trans Pacific proven, she's a solid, stout comfortable offshore cruiser thoughtfully designed, with a long waterline and a lot of character.

Forecastle - chain access and shop area w/ S.S. workbench with vise. Pullman queen-size double berth w/ storage to Port. Head on Starboard. Lower Saloon with raised dinette seating on Port, Diesel Dickenson "Alaska" heater, settee w/ lee-cloth and sea berth to Starboard. Nav and communications area on Port and galley on Starboard have excellent views. Engine room below. Aft of the nav station is a generous quarter-berth.
Offshore well protected cockpit with storage in aft lazarrette. Coach house mounted traveler with boom crutch.
An extensive, equipment list includes 3 anchors w/ chain & rode, Muir Capstan Windlass, Profurl furling - genoa and staysail, 9 winches, VHF, Radar, Autopilot, Knotmeter, Depth-sounder, Compass, clock, barometer, stereo, 12V, 110V, inverter, battery charger, batteries, H&C pressure water w/ shower, diesel heat, propane cooking, icebox/no compressor, Fleming Windvane and more.
Great boat - needs a bit of clean-up, but she could get you just about anywhere. . .
