"Lulea" is a USCG Documented, aft cockpit, cutter, blue water cruiser, fully equipped and ready to cruise! Designed by Stan Huntingford and built by Formosa Boat Building in Taiwan. She shares the hull and interior layout with the mid-80s Passport 42.
Lulea has a modified cruising keel (encapsulated) with a sturdy skeg hung rudder and is surprisingly fast with a nice motion when sailed hard.
An amazing amount of equipment and upgrades include: bimini, dodger, full enclosure, cockpit cushions, custom stainless arch, new asymmetrical spinnaker, autopilot, self-steering wind vane, 580W solar panels, wind generator, 100A alternator, new deep cycle house batteries, 2000W inverter, Furuno chart plotter and TZ Navigator PC chartplotter software, GPS, wind, depth, radar, sirius weather, Ham/SSB and Pactor P4 modem, VHF w/AIS receiver, WiFi booster, water-maker, air conditioner, grill, redundant bilge pumps, stereo system, and more. Included is a 10ft lightweight Apex dinghy in great condition, a 15hp outboard, and a 3.5hp outboard.
This boat is seriously equipped and ready to cruise. Thanks to the large amount of renewable energy and the efficient water-maker, this boat has plenty of electricity, and can operate indefinitely off-grid, making water and running all electronics, without using a single drop of diesel fuel.

INTERIOR OVERVIEW Headroom is 6’4′′or more throughout the boat with incredible storage capacity. Beautiful burmese teak joinery runs throughout; solid teak staving, all doors are beveled and hand fitted, lockers are teak lined and the glossy varnished cabin sole is teak with holly plank. The interior is finished with a satin varnish and high gloss accents on the trim. The teak doors are louvered. There is room for up to 6 people to sleep – in the forward cabin, main salon, quarter berth and the master cabin.
FORWARD CABIN – large offset double berth to port with a seat located to starboard. Row of lockers, bookshelf, hanging closet, and storage under seat. Large overhead ventilation hatch that supplies plenty of light and ventilation. Insect netting for berth. Ample storage under the entire mattress. 120V outlet and 12V outlet for fans and accessories.
QUARTER BERTH – this single berth is located at the base of the companionway to starboard and is perfect for sleeping underway when sailing short handed. In port it makes a great storage place for cockpit seat cushions and similar gear.
MASTER CABIN- across from the quarter berth, adjacent to the companionway to port, is the master cabin. It has a custom made queen size berth with reading lights, storage drawers below the berth, extra storage behind drawers, shelves beside the berth, and a hanging locker. There are large opening ports and an overhead hatch for light and great ventilation. Insect netting for berth. USB, 120V outlets, and 12V outlet with fans.
GALLEY- A proper sea galley with three burner propane stove w/oven and broiler. Large capacity front opening fridge and top opening freezer. Double SS sinks w/pressurized hot and cold water, dedicated Seagull filtered drinking water faucet, and auxiliary fresh water foot pump. Large countertops provide excellent working space, and drawers and cabinet space for dry goods storage. A large overhead hatch for light and ventilation.
HEAD/WC - a spacious head with a full sized stall shower with a tub enclosure as its base, and seat. There is pressure hot and cold water for both sink and shower. There is a teak vanity with storage and a ventilated storage locker for all your necessities plus 2 opening ports for ventilation. Lavac head with spare parts.
MAIN SALON - The main salon consists of a settee to starboard and a spacious squared shaped dinette to port. Hullside bookshelves are flanked by 2 storage lockers to port, and 3 to starboard. There is generous storage under and behind both seating areas.The beautiful dinette table has a storage locker built into the center. Four drawers for additional storage on starboard side. Three beautiful gimballed lamps, two with cut glass detailed sailboats. All lights are fitted with LED white and red. 120V outlets, and 12V outlet for fans. Integrated air conditioner that runs on 120v when docked.
NAV STATION - Located to starboard across from the galley, the nav station is large and forward facing, with exceptionally large space for electronics. A classically styled spacious chart table with seat, storage within desk and the ship’s electrical system with the AC and DC control panels and gauges. Further storage under the navigator’s seat. 4-port USB, 120V outlet, and 12V outlet.
