The DanMar 501 custom catamaran is designed by Fountaine Pajot and was built in Wisconsin. The topside features include fullbeam foredeck, protected helm area and a roomy cockpit with lazarette storage. The engines are located in each hull aft. She rides on a pair of planning hulls.

The moderate 15-foot beam insures that she’ll fit into most standard marina slips without toomuch difficulty. Lacking a flybridge, the DanMar’s helm is in the cockpit where it’s protected by a windshield and canvas panels.

The interior is very open and offers U-shaped seating for six to eight in the salon, with a functional galley with generous storage. There are two staterooms below, both forward. A single head with a separate stall shower is in the port hull, and the galley is in the starboard hull with enough access to the main cabin for the cook to have company.
