Very rare in the UK market, high-quality Dutch-built & designed centre cockpit cruising yacht. Lightly used & well maintained with incredible interior space and internal headroom for her length.
FURTHER BROKER’S COMMENTS:
With just two UK owners from new, ‘SEA SENSE’ has been well cared for and lightly used for coastal family cruising under both of her ownerships. She provides a very rare opportunity to acquire a UK VAT Paid version of these very high-quality Dutch built comfortable cruising yachts.
Easily handled by a couple thanks to her in-mast furling and furling genoa, and with an incredible interior accommodation for a 36’ cruising boat, she makes for the ideal family or two couple boat, perfect for either shorter coastal cruising or when time permits, long-distance adventures in safety and comfort. Her fixed windscreen with replaced sprayhood helps shelter the cockpit from the worst of the weather whilst underway. Her replaced cockpit tent means the cockpit can become an extension of the cabin when moored and the weather is not so good.
Her 39hp Yanmar diesel engine has been serviced annually and her Saildrive driven Flex-o-fold 3-blade folding propellor provides plenty of reliable performance when required. has the benefit of Treadmaster non-slip to her decks, which provides a safe foothold but without the on-going maintenance and cost required of teak. There is plentiful storage via a walk-in storage area aft of the heads plus a large lazarette can be accessed at the stern. She has for a vessel of her length and type, a surprisingly good turn of speed under sail with a comfortable motion when in rough seas whilst also having a draft of approximately 1.6m with her elongated fin keel, means that she can access many quite shallow anchorages when required. Her interior joinery and upholstery are virtually “as new” having been cared for, lightly used and blinds and curtains in place to keep the sun out when she’s not in use.

BUILDER’S HISTORY:
“We do something either well, or not all. Decades ago, this already was the central moto at C-Yacht. It hasn’t changed since then, C-Yacht is situated in the Flevo Marina at Lelystad. The Shipyard where our sailing yachts are built is located at Heerenveen.
The shipyard at Heerenveen
In 1947,Rinus Zaadnoordijk opened a yacht harbour of modest dimension,at Dutch Uitgeest. Supported by his family, he built and restored small boats there. Did he ever dream his name being associated with some of the world’s most renowned sailing yachts, back then? Probably not…
The shipyard at heerenveen saw a rapid development. First, Rinus Zaadnoordijk began constructing smaller one, as one of the fist shipyards, they used polyester. Demand grew so substantially that space soon became too contrained for the yacht construction activities at Uitgeest. So a shipyard was founded whose capacities allowed the serial production of yachts. And at Heerenveen they found a suitable location for it, in 1968. It was situated nearby a large and deep-water canal. Meanwhile, more than 7000 yachts were buit here. Among them also the C-Yachts which are sold at Lelystad. The youngest of those yachts is our flagship, the C-Yacht 1250i.
Still no water too deep for C-Yacht
Theshipyard at Heerenveen is one of the most modern shipyards of the Netherlands. Each ship that gets built here, from the very first to the youngest one, is constructed using the expertise and knowledge of seasoned sailors. Their passion and love for sailing is incorporated in all the works. In early 2000 the shipyard was taken over by its current owner, Jan Muller. He too does adhere to the same philosophy: No concessions. And Concessions actually are not even an option: C-Yachts still are produced as custom-built yachts. No assembly lines, but manual craftsmanship instead. The wishes of our clients are all realised. This calls for qualified professionals, special materials and much attention to details. No problem for us: Up to this day, no water too deep for C-Yachts.”

MEDIA REVIEW:
“The C-Yacht 11.00 has become a bestseller in the yard due to its good balance of qualities. Despite its relatively small size, it is positioned as a long-range cruiser with good comfort and capacity – the interior of the yacht is recognized by European experts as one of the best in its class. The cockpit of the boat – in accordance with the traditions of the North European yacht building – is protected by a powerful windscreen, it is conveniently planned so that the yacht can be operated by only one person. The shipyard has every reason to be proud of the spacious, luxurious and comfortable interior of this boat, but its sailing qualities are at a level that makes it a pleasure to sail long distances.”
