Gecko is a swing centerboard version F-82A built by the owner. She was launched in 2002 at Camden, ME and has been sailed out of that port ever since. She has been stored inside an unheated shed every year except one.
She was built for a cruising couple and has done a one or two week cruise annually on the coast of Maine. She can easily also accommodate two children and has cruised four adults for a long weekend (by pitching a tent on the net). She has done a fair amount of racing, as well. Current NEMA rating is 59.
