The sailing yacht named Progressiva was originally built to become Sweden's fastest keel boat and a good item for sponsors with advertising space, customer sailing etc. The sponsor part has worked well in the recent years and the potential is great for racing. The boat's hull and deck were designed by Ängermark marine. Keel and rudder and rebuilding were designed by Per Lindell SSPA (Chalmers University). Builders are Pacific Boatworks, John McVeagh, New Zealand along with current owner. High-strength calculated by High Modulus, New Zealand with materials consisting of 90% carbon fiber, E-glass in keel area and Kevlar insert in the hull. The boat reach a lenght of 57 feet, (17,24m) x 4,44m and a draft of 3,55m, weight of 9.5 kilo tonnes of which six kilo tonnes is in the keel which consists of steel and lead. Modification 2013 to meet the new development and broadened one (1) meter in the stern and got a flatter underwater body. Rig design from Chris Mitchell, New Zealand with carbon fiber mast Marström Composites including 3 pcs of spreaders on the mast and a carbon fiber bowsprit with a lenght of 2.05 meter long and deck layout from Harken Sweden. Mast height of 26.5 meters with Sailtec hydraulics and 170 square meters sail boom. Sail wardrobe in carbon fiber and kevlar consisting of; 2pce Main sail 96 m2, 6 Jib 1-2, 1 jib3, 1 jib 4 Orc, 1 stormfock, genoa saill, gennaker on their own strut , 6 gennaker sail of varying size and strength. Sail from North Sails and Hamel sails. Large hatch up on front deck for sails. The instrumentation consists of Garmin with mast displays and plotter at the steering wheels, autopilot, AIS and VHF. There are a total of 12 berths distributed over 6 fixed beds and 6 open ocean beds. In the lounge there is a table made of carbon fiber and the standing height is 2 m. On board there is a navigation space and a large toilet. Pre-shipment and transshipment possible to decorate. The engine is a Volvo Penta MD 22A of 60 HP and S drive. The boat has very good results from sail race in Sweden of Gotland around race, Faerder race and also Tjörn around race.
