The Stanley 38 is a traditional semi-displacement hull with a reasonably flat section aft, a slight dead rise and a soft chine. It has a little rocker in the bottom and a deep forefront that helps hold her up in the wind when docking. She cruises comfortably at 18 knots and tops out around 20-24 knots. More than just a day boat, the 38 provides gracious overnight and local cruising accomodations. The Stanley 38 evolved from our Stanley 36 when one of our customers wanted more room in the forecastle. Rather than design a new mold we decided to extend the length of the Stanley 36 by adding 36 inches in the middle of the hull.
